Brian Lester
Founder & CEO, Commitment Coffee
I am a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Upon graduation, I was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.
Following training at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia, I was assigned as the Assistant Supply Officer and Disbursing Officer aboard the USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG-54). During my tour, the USS Curtis Wilbur completed deployments to Australia, Southeast Asia and the Persian Gulf and completed a permanent homeport shift - leaving San Diego to join the Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Yokosuka, Japan.
After my tour afloat, I received orders to join the Commandant's Staff at the U.S. Naval Academy to serve as the Midshipman Financial Advisor. I completed active duty service as a Lieutenant in the summer of 2000.
Since then, I have pursued a career in marketing, strategy and innovation at Procter & Gamble and Nestle Purina PetCare.
I married my high school sweetheart, Amy, twenty-nine years ago. We are blessed to be the parents of three beautiful and talented children (Olivia, Kate & Brock) and one lazy and loving Bulldog (Jarvis).
